Director of Economic Development

The Muleshoe Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is a department within the City of Muleshoe and is designed to provide a range of business and economic development assistance, including financial and non-financial assistance, based upon business' needs. The MEDC works directly and collaboratively with other departments of the City of Muleshoe and with the Muleshoe Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture. 

Mission Statement
The MEDC is committed to the promotion of high quality development in the Muleshoe Area and to the improvement in the quality of life for its citizens. Vision, Commitment and Cooperation - three words that describe the attitude of the MEDC. 

Formed in 1993, the MEDC has assisted in the creation and expansion of several businesses. The MEDC offers incentives to businesses based upon job creation and job retention and increase in tax base. Successful stories include those of, Eevolve, L&L Pallet, T&S Concrete, Leal's Tortilla Factory, and several dairies including: RTM (Track) Dairy, J&S Dairy, Gerald Osterkamp Dairy, Stonegate Farms, North Muleshoe Dairy, and Circle R Dairy.  

Coupled with the local government's pro-business attitude, Muleshoe is an attractive location for new and expanding businesses.
