Police Communications
The primary duties of the telecommunications officer are to answer emergency 911 and non-emergency telephone lines. These calls for service generally include calls from the public concerning crimes, police emergencies, fires and emergency medical assistance. The calls are then dispatched to the appropriate police, fire or emergency medical personnel.
