The Muleshoe City Council met in a special meeting on Tuesday December 16 to consider bids submitted for the construction of the Muleshoe Aquatic Center. The Council awarded the bid to the low bidder, Atlantis Aquatic Group of Abilene with a bid of $1,761,388.

The project generally includes a zero entry pool, lap/diving pool, water slide with splash down area, lazy river, diving board, bathhouse, concession stand, mechanical/pump building, concrete decking, lighting, fencing, and landscaping.

The Muleshoe Aquatic Center is expected to open in May of 2010.
