Muleshoe City Secretary LeAnn Gallman has received the Master Municipal Clerk (MMC) designation from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) Master Municipal Clerk Academy Program. With this designation, LeAnn becomes one of 577 MMCs worldwide and one of only 16 in Texas.

This designation was earned through completion of IIMC recognized Academy Programs, attendance at professional seminars and workshops, teaching or writing in the profession, participating in professional meetings and conferences, and being recognized for unusual accomplishments.

In making this announcement, Charles E Tokar, IIMC President stated “Although the ranks of Master Municipal Clerks are very small, MMCs are obviously very highly self-motivated individuals, and therefore very valuable not only to their communities but also to their profession.”

LeAnn has served as City Secretary for the City of Muleshoe since March 1999. She was certified as a Texas Registered Municipal Clerk by the Texas Municipal Clerks Association (TMCA) in January 2001 and recognized as a Certified Municipal Clerk by IIMC in April 2003. LeAnn has served in various roles with TMCA and currently serves as Treasure for the state organization.
